Distance

Teish Harris is driving her son Yindi Johnson to see his dad at Mutawinji for the holidays.

About as far from Covid and the troubles of the political world as you could get on the journey they discuss what it means to be Wiradjuri.

Along the way Teish and Yindi pay respect to the various countries from Wiradjuri to Barkindji and back.

Three men and a truck are delivering goods across the country. Unbeknownst to the truck crew they spread Covid in their trail.

At Hay service station the two cross paths.

Using animation together with a physical theatre approach this story tells the meaning of connection to country.
